LOS ANGELES, Jan. 3, 2008 /PRNewswire/
-- Goldmund, makers of the world's most extravagant and
technologically advanced systems for audio-video purists,
announced today the Logos 3F, the latest subwoofer in their
Logos series. Additionally, Goldmund has taken a radical new
approach to the multichannel processor with the introduction
of a USB Audio Input that will eliminate the usual sound
drawbacks associated with computer connections and will be
used in the company's revolutionary Goldmund Media Room.
Logos 3F
In order to properly reproduce the infra-sounds featured in
the best movie soundtracks, Goldmund developed the Logos 3, a
speaker with a frequency response of 7Hz to 17Hz bandwidth,
and has introduced the next generation, Logos 3F, which
drastically reduces the size down to 12 inches to allow it to
be concealed inside interior walls for an optimal sound
experience without compromising the aesthetic design of the
Media Room.
Providing better accuracy and reliability at ultra-high sound
pressures, the Logos 3F gives a stronger and more linear
experience thanks to a new two chamber cabinet design.
Designed to provide an accurate sound pressure at the focal
listening point at all frequencies and without distortion up
to 130db, the Logos 3F can provide this audio quality level
even in home, commercial or marine-based rooms where available
space is restricted.
USB Audio Input
Currently using a multi-channel processor with up to 32
channels, a unique innovation in the world of the ultimate
Media Room, Goldmund presents its new line of USB processors
with capabilities extended to 128 channels in order to more
accurately build larger Media Rooms.
By eliminating the usual computer connection sound drawbacks,
such as unavoidable noise and annoying clock signals, the new
USB Audio Input electrically isolates the computer and
synchronizes it with an ultra-high precision internal clock to
provide higher dynamics and zero-noise to properly imitate
lifelike sound. In addition, its simple connection by USB
makes the link foolproof and extremely easy for installers
supporting the introduction of Goldmund Media Rooms in the
U.S. market to build Media Rooms to Goldmund's precision
standards.
"It may be difficult to improve upon perfection, but these two
innovations will allow us to take the Goldmund Media Room to
an unthinkable level of sophisticated and refined sound
quality and efficiency," said Michel Reverchon, president of
Goldmund. "Even without a presence on the show floor of the
year's biggest consumer electronics tradeshow, Goldmund is the
must-see name this January."
Offering qualified press an opportunity to escape the hectic
crowds of CES for a few hours by way of a private jet,
Goldmund will be shuttling select reporters to Los Angeles to
experience the first Goldmund Media Room installed in the U.S.
Introduced in October 2007, the Goldmund Media Room offers a
complete turnkey solution for high-definition video for
movies, music and gaming.
