proud to present the first annual WOW! World of Windows Awards
Ceremony at the 2008 International Window Covering EXPO (IWCE)
in Atlanta.
The WOW! Awards honor the professionals, individuals, and
companies that TOUCH the window coverings industry in a big
way. WOW! Awards, including the Window Fashions 2008 Envision
Design and Ingenuity Workroom competition winners, will be
held from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, at the
Georgia World Congress Center. This event is FREE, but you
must register at
www.windowcoveringexpo.com.

Award Categories
Rising Star Award
This WOW! Award will be
presented to an individual who shows great promise of becoming
a leader or major player in the years to come within the
window coverings industry. Individual must have been in the
industry for at least five years to be nominated.
WFCP's Window Fashions Certified Professional Award
This WOW! Award will be
presented to an individual who is a current Advanced WFCP
Member, active in the Program, and exemplifies how education
supports career advancement. This person will have
demonstrated a commitment to the WFCP program and its levels
of certification through participation, collaboration, and
volunteerism throughout the industry.
Client and Customer Service Company of the Year Award
This WOW! Award will be
presented to a company that loves its customers! The winner
will display an outstanding ability to organize, manage, and
execute all aspects of client and customer service.
Humanitarian Award
This WOW! Award will be
presented to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional
generosity in the donation of time, talent, and resources to
help those in need.
Envision Design and Ingenuity Workroom Competition Awards
A highlight of the WOW! World of Windows program will be the
long-standing Envision Design and Ingenuity Workroom
Competition Award winners. The submission process for both the
Envision Design and the Ingenuity Workroom Competitions are
both closed for the 2008 season. Winners in each category will
be announced and presented at the WOW! Awards.
Envision Design Competition: Several WOW! Awards will be
presented in this category for individual designers, design
firms, and decorators who design window fashions and have
submitted their projects for the competition.
Ingenuity Workroom Competition: Several WOW! Awards will be
presented in this category for workrooms and individuals who
create window fashions. Entries were submitted by the workroom
or a person in the business of making window treatments, not
by a designer on behalf of a workroom
Overview and Rules
Please carefully read the
following rules regarding the process for nominating yourself,
an employee, an employer, a colleague, or a supplier in the
window coverings industry for a 2008 WOW! Award.
1. There is no entry fee.
2. Nominations can be submitted through Friday, February 15,
2008.
3. You may nominate yourself or someone else.
4. Nominees may enter more than one category. Each category
will require a separate submission.
5. Winners will be notified at the beginning of March 2008 and
will be announced at the IWCE WOW! Awards at the 2008
International Window Coverings EXPO in Atlanta, GA, plus in
the April/May issues of Window Fashions magazine.
6. Winners are encouraged to attend the IWCE WOW! Awards event
at the International Window Coverings EXPO (IWCE), Thursday,
March 27, 2008, in Atlanta, Georgia’s World Congress Center.
