NORTHBOROUGH, Mass., Mar. 5, 2008 - SullivanKreiss Chief
Operations Officer Justin Roy announces founding of
Networking For A Cause.
An
organization designed to help non-profits create
word-of-mouth marketing to raise awareness of their
mission, Networking For A Cause allows a mode for
connection amongst young professionals. Promoting the
interaction of civic-minded individuals, the group aids
young professionals in establishing quality contacts to
build business while becoming more involved in their
community.
"Networking For A Cause essentially creates an open
rolodex for young professionals looking to build a
strong network of contacts," said co-founder Justin Roy.
"Many attendees are well connected individuals with what
I'd call an open network style." Roy explained that the
networking group aims to present opportunities for
involvement to civic-minded people after they leave the
office.
Founders of Networking For A Cause include: Justin Roy,
Chief Operations Officer for SullivanKreiss, an
executive search firm dedicated to the A/E industry;
Mark Carter, a sales and networking training
entrepreneur; and Becky Brett, an arts and entertainment
professional.
"The three of us, friends as well as business partners,
started Networking For A Cause realizing that our skills
and knowledge could be extremely useful to non-profits
and young professionals," added Roy.
"We decided not to accept donations or become a
middle-man for fundraising," Roy continued. "Carter,
Becky and I utilized the contacts in our collective
rolodex. The results include volunteered website design,
venue space with specials for attendees, and office
space and additional support donated by SullivanKreiss.
We are all pleasantly surprised and by the outcome and
grateful for the donations from local professionals. The
turnout at our first event was such a success, we had to
increase the venue space to accommodate. But of course
that's one problem we were all happy to have."
