Metropolitan Interiors Student
Competition Call for Entries
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn., Jan. 27
/Metropolitan Interiors/ -- Metropolitan Interiors, a Minneapolis based
residential and commercial design firm, is hosting a student
competition. The grand prize winner will receive $2,500.00 and will be
highlighted on their Website for one year. Four runners up will receive
$100.00 gift certificates to
www.artsuppliesonline.com. The deadline for entries is March
31st, 2006 and winners will be notified by April 15th, 2006. The forms

Metropolitan Interiors is in the
process of relocating to a new space and would like students input and
design creativity during the process. The students are encouraged to use
the space requirements given while allowing them to use their own
creativity to design the space as if it were their own interior design
studio.
Julie Ann Segal, owner of Metropolitan
Interiors combines her interior design and feng shui practice, and
inspires students to learn and use feng shui concepts that make sense to
them. Julie Ann believes a space should not only look good, but feel
good and that an environment is designed best when it is set up to
support ones lifestyle in the home or office. Through offering this
competition, Julie Ann has been able to speak to interior design
students about feng shui and her experiences as an interior designer.
Students will be judged on creative
ability of design layout, color and material combinations, ability to
convey ideas through drawings, and craftsmanship of board presentations.
The students are given the floor plan of the space with a brief list of
criteria, space requirements, and the project requirements which are all
listed on the call for entry forms. The entry fee is $25.00 a student
and is limited to 1000 applicants.
Eligibility is available to those
students in Minnesota, Kansas, North Dakota, Illinois, Missouri,
Wisconsin and Colorado. An student or teacher inquiring more information
