illumaWALL by Duo-Gard can
be programmed for glowing undulating waves, steady static
effects or dynamic pulsating bursts of color. The choice
depends on the ambience the designer wants to create for
commercial, retail, hospitality, educational, entertainment,
industrial, healthcare or custom home clients. Duo-Gard
engineers the custom design/build systems for both interior
walls and exterior walls, ceilings, canopies, landmark
beacons and signature signage.
"As pioneers in translucent
technology, green building and design innovation, we're
proud to note these honors reflect excitement about
illumaWALL we're seeing from daring, demanding architects
and interior designers across the country," said David
Miller, Duo-Gard's president. "We help them achieve
design/build versatility, dynamic aesthetics and
sustainability plus unusual affordability with illumaWALL."
Sustainability integrates
with aesthetics and affordability through illumaWALL's mix
of high-performance, "green building" materials. illumaWALL
can contribute points toward a structure's LEED
certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental
Design), the rating system developed by the U.S. Green
Building Council.
Translucent polycarbonate
glazings minimize heat gain and glare as they project
diffuse daylighting deep into interior spaces, resulting in
lower heating, cooling and lighting costs, as well as
improved occupant comfort. Custom aluminum framing systems
feature designer colors and finishes.
The multiwall
polycarbonates can be enhanced with the option of
translucent Nanogel(R), a record-setting, energy-efficient,
insulating, light- diffusing aerogel that also reduces sound
transmission.
Energy-efficient LED
lighting for illumaWALL incorporates state-of-the-art
technology in low-voltage, low-heat, high-performance
systems programmable to more than a million colors. The
lighting systems can include independent fixture control
plus solutions for indoor and outdoor applications.
