Dallas, TX, July 22, 2007 /International Design Guild/ -- Floor covering from Clifton Carpets in Dallas, TX, was at the heart of an award-winning design submitted by local interior designer Sherry Hayslip in the 2007 Designer Showcase Awards sponsored International Design Guild. Hayslip, the 2007 Designer of the Year, used an exquisite floor covering from Clifton Carpets in her award winning creation and received a $5,000 cash award for her entry.

A panel of Guild showroom owners, Guild staff, and CCA Global’s co-CEO, Howard Brodsky, judged the entries based upon individuality, use of color, and overall use of floor covering in the final design. The awards recognize the uncompromising design-forward creations from interior designers across the United States and Canada.

This was the Guild’s 3rd Annual Designer Showcase Awards and the number of entries continues to be overwhelming, explained Krista Eliason, President of the Guild. “Each year the number of entries increases and I’m constantly amazed at the creative use of floor coverings, as well as the amount of true talent displayed in each entry. The Guild has never been stronger and these awards continue to strengthen our ongoing commitment to the design community. It is truly a privilege to work with our member showrooms as they consistently offer the most exquisite, unique and natural floor covering products to their talented designers and clients.”

Finally, in a newly created category designed to highlight the luxurious and versatile Dabbieri Collection, the Dabbieri Award of Distinction was proudly awarded to: Andrea Schumacher, winner and recipient of a $3,000 cash award, with featured floor covering from Floorcoverings by CPA in Denver, CO.

Designers interested in submitting entries to the 2008 Designer Showcase Awards may obtain an Official Entry Form from any International Design Guild showroom. The form, along with a high-resolution photograph and a description of the designer’s creation, must be postmarked on or by May 15, 2008 and must include floor coverings purchased from a Guild showroom.
