PRESS RELEASE 07-24-07

Environmental Tectonics Corporation's Simulation Division Awarded Contract by the Netherlands National Institute for Safety to Deliver a Behavioral Assessment Research Tool based on ADMS

SOUTHAMPTON, Pa., July 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Environmental Tectonics Corporation's (AMEX:ETC) ("ETC" or the "Company") Simulation Division today announced the signing of a contract with the Netherlands National Institute for Safety, NIFV (formerly, Nibra), to provide a Behavioral Assessment Research Tool based on Advanced Disaster Management Simulator (ADMS(TM)) software.

NIFV works for the Netherlands Ministry of Interior on several fundamental research programs. One of the projects is to obtain insight in the fire response performance that people present in a building and in the effect of the building design on their escape behavior ("way finding"). For this research project NIFV is cooperating with the Universities of Amsterdam and Eindhoven in the Netherlands. The innovative instrument will be validated by comparing the results of experiments in virtual environments with results of the same experiments in the real world.

ADMS President, Marco van Wijngaarden, commented, "We are very pleased to cooperate with NIFV on the development of this unique research tool. NIFV is a center of expertise that has used ADMS for training and testing Emergency Management Plans over the past six years. The initiative to use ADMS for this research program shows great confidence in the platform and is a huge compliment for us."

ADMS is a high fidelity, interactive simulation platform that offers a proven methodology to provide operationally cost-effective synthetic incident and disaster management experience. It has been used to train emergency responders around the world since 1995 to better prepare to respond to and mitigate incidents. ADMS is also used to test and validate emergency response and management plans.

ETC designs, develops, installs and maintains aircrew training systems, public entertainment systems, process simulation systems (sterilization and environmental), clinical hyperbaric systems, environmental testing and simulation systems, and related products for domestic and international customers.
