NEW ORLEANS, July 25, 2007 -- Jeriko
House, LLC Founder and
CEO Shawn Burst announced today that
the company is beginning to thrive on many fronts. New
projects are underway, consumer and contractor demand is on
the rise and implementation of the Jeriko House philosophy is
starting to take hold in the prefab building community.
Jeriko House is living up to its name,
not only in the eyes of interested homeowners, but to
suppliers and home builders alike. Said Burst: "We'd like to
think we own up to our slogan: 'The Platform for Living.'"
Jeriko House hopes to be the hub - the foundation - for the
collaborative spirit: "out of collaboration comes innovation
and in the end innovation results in better business solutions
and ultimately lower cost to the end user," said Burst.
There is a plug-n-play aspect to the
Jeriko House prefab system. When you think of all of the
components of a home - windows, doors, floors, walls,
lighting, plumbing - it inherently creates a necessary
connectivity with builders. This, Burst hopes, will "make us
not only a platform for living but the platform for innovative
building."
With three projects currently underway
and larger scale multi-unit projects on the horizon, Jeriko is
taking hold and growing. Three structures are now under
construction in Louisiana: a 4320-sq-ft Lakefront home; a
5500-sq-ft luxury home in Mandeville; and a 250-sq-ft garden
retreat in Metairie. All structures exemplify the Jeriko
commitment to excellence, innovation and structure diversity.
The newly launched Jeriko House
website
(
)
has fostered some 3,000
inquiries from prospective home
builders and home owners who find the luxury modular prefab
construction extremely appealing. The site boasts clever and
effective interactivity and consumer design and research tools
as well as a soon-to-be-released user interface called the "Configurator,"
which will allow homeowners to design and up-fit their dream
homes virtually to start the process.
But Jeriko House has always been much
more than homes. The Jeriko House process is bringing new
light to the modular/prefab construction concept. The
methodology truly brings flexibility to the forefront. The
process can be used to design a dream house or a lifeguard
stand, a mobile medical unit or a backyard yoga sanctuary -
the possibilities are endless. As the Jeriko philosophy
steadily takes hold, they are not forgetting their roots: For
every 10th Jeriko House sold, those ten homeowners will form a
committee that votes to give a Jeriko House to a family in
need somewhere in the U.S. That is certainly a platform not
only for living but for conducting business and giving back to
the community.
