PRESS RELEASE 03-20-07

An Afternoon With the Color Guru: Color Trends Seminar at SF Mart

Plus, Designer Appreciation Day Discounts ‘til 7 p.m.

SAN FRANCISCO, California, March 20, 2007 /San Francisco Mart/ -- Catch a glimpse of the 2008 color palette and spend an afternoon learning from America’s color expert at the San Francisco Mart's upcoming seminar, Future Color Trends, presented by Leatrice Eiseman. Leatrice will conduct the trade-only seminar from 2-3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 19 during the SF Mart’s Designer Appreciation Day and Extended Hours.

During the seminar, Leatrice will discuss the major challenge of satisfying clients’ more demanding needs and desires in both styling and color. They are looking beyond a simple matching process to colors they can instantly ‘connect’ with, that suit their personal comfort level and excite their imagination, and they want you to find it for them. At the same time, there is the practical need to connect settings they already own. Leatrice will introduce you to some of the new shades and combinations that will help you create these essential connections.

Leatrice Eiseman is a color specialist who has been called "the international color guru." She is founder and director of the Eiseman Center for Color Information and Training, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, and spokesperson for Pantone, Inc. For 25 years, she has consulted manufacturers, businesses and designers on how to make the best and most educated color choices for their new products, logos and identification symbols, interior and exterior designs. Leatrice speaks on color at consumer art shows, trade shows, design centers, schools and conventions. Her book titles include "Alive with Color" and "The Pantone Book of Color".

The seminar will be held in the SF Mart’s seminar room on the second floor. Admission is $25 for members/$35 for non-members on or before April 12; $35 for members/$45 for non-members after April 12. Reservations and pre-payment are required. To RSVP, call , e-mail , or send a check payable to the SF Mart to: SF Mart, Attn: Ruthie Idencio, 1355 Market St., Suite 294, San Francisco, CA 94103.

The seminar will take place during the SF Mart’s “Designer Appreciation Day” and “Third Thursday/Extended Hours” events. Furniture and accessory showrooms will offer special discounts, as well as be open until 7 p.m., giving you a great opportunity to shop with your clients at their convenience!
