Technology in Premium Dishwashers
Latest LG Dishwashers
Deliver Heightened Features, Including High-end Design, Quiet
Operation and Energy Efficiency
LAS VEGAS, May 7 /PRNewswire/
-- Building on its position as the first to incorporate steam
technology in major appliances, LG Electronics is introducing
an innovative new dishwasher with energy-saving,
performance-enhancing steam.
The LG steam dishwasher is
the flagship of the company's 2007 expanded dishwasher line
that will be unveiled today at the 2007 Kitchen and Bath
Industry Show in Las Vegas. Key features of the new lineup
include:
-- Unique steam technology option for enhanced cleaning performance;
-- Useful third rack for utensils and hard to clean flatware;
-- Advanced digital display with LED indicator lights;
-- Ultra quiet operation with built in food disposer;
-- Extra-large, 24" tall, stainless steel tubs with one of the largest
capacities available in the United States; and
-- Outstanding energy and water efficiency across models.
John Herrington, president of
LG Electronics USA, Digital Appliances, said, "The combination
of extra-large capacity, smart performance features and energy
efficiency puts our dishwasher line in a league of its own,
delivering even more convenience in the kitchen. Our new steam
dishwasher and advanced digital display technologies exemplify
cutting-edge technologies that are redefining the appliance
business today."
Built-In Steam Technology
LG's latest dishwasher
innovation is a key element of the company's next- generation
kitchen series and features an advanced stylish design with a
fully-integrated LCD touch control panel for an ultra-premium
design. Unique to this model is a steam option that delivers
enhanced cleaning performance as well as greater energy
efficiency compared to traditional models. This innovation
follows the success of LG's pioneering steam laundry system
introduced in 2006.
For added versatility, the
dishwasher also features a third rack, and can accommodate up
to 14 place settings in a single load. At only 45 decibels,
this dishwasher is among the quietest available with a
built-in food disposer in the United States. Its "SteamDelicate"
cycle protects fragile items such stemware and china during
the wash process. LG Model: LDF9810 will be available in the
third quarter of 2007 in a high-end stainless steel finish at
a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $1,599.
ADVANCED DIGITAL DISPLAY
Also new for 2007 from LG
Electronics is a premium dishwasher model with an advanced
digital display with four LED indicator lights to alert users
of cycle status on the outside door, while soft touch controls
with a LED display are hidden on top for a polished, built-in
look. At only 46 decibels, this dishwasher also features
ultra-quiet operation. It also incorporates bright dual
interior LED lights and a smooth gliding upper rack for ease
of use and increased convenience. LG Model: LDF8812 is
available now in a stainless steel finish at a manufacturer's
suggested retail price of $1,199.
Other Innovations
LG's core dishwasher line-up
for 2007 also will include semi-integrated models that feature
a digital display and controls on the door's exterior, as well
as fully-integrated versions which have the digital display on
the outside and controls hidden on top of the door.
As with all LG appliances,
the company's dishwasher line is energy-efficient, low in
water consumption and quiet in operation. All products include
a built-in disposer with self-cleaning filter to easily
eliminate food debris and boast high-performance features such
as the SenseClean(TM) washing system. SenseClean uses
turbidity sensors that determine the number of rinses needed,
helping to take the guesswork out of obtaining a perfect wash.
A half-load cleaning option
allows for washing in either the upper or lower deck to
conserve water and electricity. The dishwasher's Design-A-Rack
system(TM) allows for maximum loading flexibility and includes
adjustable racks to enable large, odd-shaped items to fit in a
variety of spaces. Other noteworthy features include:
-- Removable, fold-down tines make instant room for larger items;
-- Adjustable upper rack allows storage of 12" plates in the upper rack;
-- Three separate cutlery baskets which can be snapped together or
separated for placement in either the upper or lower racks;
-- Three water spray settings (strong, medium and soft) for various types
of washing;
-- Hybrid Drying System(TM) -- a highly efficient drying process for
reduced spotting; and
-- Stemware holder to secure wine glasses, goblets and champagne flutes,
which also doubles as a double-decker rack for storage of smaller cups.
These LG dishwasher models
are available now in a variety of finishes including white,
black and stainless steel at manufacturer's suggested retail
prices ranging from $699 to $1,599.
