PRESS RELEASE

Maxx Katt Prints Will Quickly Brighten Up Any Wall and Make People Smile

ATLANTA, Georgia, August 21, 2007 /Southeastern Art Gallery/ - Katt has commissioned full size, signed, limited edition prints of each of his retro pop art paintings. These 24 x 24 inch and 24 x 30 inch prints retail for $320 - $350 and the designer's cost is $185 - $165 in quantities three or more.

Katt's art is the perfect example of retro art that evokes the nostalgia of the 1950's. The artist uses his colorization skills to make the normally flat comic panels come alive to the viewer.

These print's colors and nostalgic content provide just the right dose of cheer to enhance a space on the wall or in a retail display.

These framed prints display well in retail clothing displays, coffee shops, restaurants, hotel workout and breakfast rooms.

Katt's new series of paintings captures the vanishing art of golden age comic book panels. Using Warhol like colorations, Katt's paintings take the viewer back to the 40's and 50's with a realization that the subject matter of these comic panels is still relevant today.

All prints are professionally framed in a black wood frame with glass with edition numbers and are signed by the artist.

Additional Katt paintings can be seen http://southeasternartgallerynews.com. You can see other comic panels from which you can select prints at www.southeasternartgallerynews.com/mkbrowseone.htm. These images are the raw scanned comic panel images and do not represent the final colorization used by the artist on a commissioned series of prints. All of the prints are based on copyright expired comic book panels.

"Katt's paintings reminds one of Lichtenstein's art combined with Warhol's subtle use of colors. These paintings literally make people smile."
