PRESS RELEASE

Miele Manhattan Gallery Opens in Architects & Designers Building

PRINCETON, N.J., Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Miele has launched a new showroom in New York City which stylishly showcases and accentuates their stunning products. Located in the Architects & Designers Building (150 East 58th Street), Miele's new Manhattan Gallery is unquestionably the jewel among Miele's eleven design centers across the United States. The showroom's sophisticated interior literally immerses visitors in pure luxury, allowing them to escape into a world that belongs to Miele. Where innovation, beauty and quality rule the day and where the best things in life come easy.

Dr. Reinhard Zinkann and Dr. Markus Miele (the fourth generation of Miele family owners and operators) were present at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Dr. Zinkann marked the opening as "a milestone in the U.S. and around the world." Dr. Miele stated that "the showroom is a symbol for the quality of Miele products and the passion consumers have for them." Nick Ord, President and CEO of Miele's U.S. subsidiary, commented that the Gallery "will further Miele's business goals and serve to strengthen the brand's relationship with the builder/developer and design communities." He described the marketing concept behind the 3,000-square-foot design center as "an experience that fills the senses and spoils the visitor with comfort."

The fundamental idea for the loft concept was to present individual Miele appliances in stylized everyday situations. As visitors walk along the centerline of the showroom, they experience the full range of Miele products as they pass from one area to the next including the coffee cafe and lounge, floorcare center, walk-in laundry wardrobe and live kitchen. In order to create a smooth transition from inside to outside, a vast window wall was integrated into the design concept. As it infuses the Gallery with natural light, the cafe bar offers guests a spectacular view of Manhattan while they enjoy espresso or coffee from the nearby Miele coffee systems.

Design professionals and consumers are welcome to visit the showroom from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (Monday through Friday) in the Architects & Designers Building (between Lexington & 3rd), 9th Floor, Suite 951. The showroom will host live cooking demonstrations where guests learn more about Miele products and afterwards enjoy the delicious results!
