KD - Knock-Down, furniture sold unassembled
KEMP - coarse white fiber not accepting dyes well
KEYSTONE - originally the center structural wedge-stone of an arched opening, but may simply be decorative trim in the shape of a wedge capping an arched opening
KNEE KICKER - tool used to stretch carpet
KNITTED - yarn handmade or machine made into interlocking loops with knitting needles
KNOCK-DOWN - term used to describe furniture sold in parts and pieces, which require assembly
KEY HOLE COVER - decorative hardware hinged-plate installed over key hole
KEY PATTERN - classical, decorative pattern composed of angular, symmetrical and geometric designs i.e. Greek Key
KICK PLATE - decorative plate installed at the bottom of a door to protect it from wear
KITCHEN DESIGN - specialty or sub-set of interior design focusing on kitchens
KILIM - hand-woven rugs from the Middle East with geometric designs
